Path to Paradise: The World of Buddhism

Objects from the Ringling's permanent collection are showcased, along with works of art from private collections in Sarasota, to represent the general features of the Buddha and Buddhist deities such as Bodhisattvas, Arhats and Guardians. This exhibition also includes Dharma Implements - items that Buddhist monks used to conduct religious rituals and practices. Items from multiple cultures of Asia are featured to present different iconographic characteristics and religious functions of Buddhist deities, and different artistic styles of Buddhist images.
